Frequently Asked Questions

Teams are formed foremost based on birth year. While we try to honor “buddy requests”, we are not allowed to let a player play down.
Recreational Fall soccer begins with practices in August. The 10 week season starts the weekend after Labor Day.
Spring soccer is only 6 weeks with optional practices. It usually starts in April.
Competitive soccer begins with try-outs in May and runs year round with a break in the winter.
Teams usually practice twice per week. Spring recreational practices are optional.
Water bottle, shin guards, cleats, and a ball.

The IFAB Laws of the Game prohibit anything which is dangerous to a player or other players. Referees determine if an item can be worn without being dangerous.

The league schedule usually comes out a week before the season starts.
US Youth Soccer and Washington Youth Soccer require birth dates to be verified--registration is not complete without it.
Verification can be completed by sending us a copy of a certified birth certificate, passport, or other government issued ID—we can not accept hospital documents. Any physical documents are destroyed (shredded) after receipt and verification has been entered into our database.
Digital copies are deleted upon verification.

Please contact our Director of Coaching at DOC@EverettYouthSoccerClub.com to arrange an individual try-out if there is a spot available.
